The wrap-around axle strap assembly is utilized by many car owners for the secure trailering of their cars. High-test steel 'D' rings are used in all axle strap assemblies which are gold cadmium treated for corrosion resistance. The axle strap is designed for use in conjunction with a ratchet wheel strap, an example is shown below in the extra images. Each axle strap assembly is fabricated with Polyester Latex webbing having a 12,000 Lb. tension rating for optimum restraint-load retention performance, plus high abrasion and abuse resistance. The non-stretch characteristic of the webbing significantly increases the assemblys security and service life. The Polyester Webbing protects the axle finish, brake lines, and other structural car members by eliminating all metal-to-metal contact and provides positive safe-secure tie-down of your car around axles, lower control arms, or other structural members (i.e.: wheels) during trailer transportation. The 'D' Ring ends holds the webbing in a straight flat position ensuring equal load distribution over the full width of the webbing for a more secure tie-down and added service life. RECOMMENDED USE: Two (2) Axle Straps should be used on both front and rear end of car. The Axle Straps and Ratchet Wheel Straps selected should be based on the following recommended assembly capacity: (Car Gross Weight / Minimum Assembly Rating) 2,100 Lbs. or Less Car / 3,500 Lbs Capacity, 3,300 Lbs. or Less Car / 5,000 lbs.
